Terms of service

Last updated November 7, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Geraldo Grell, a sole proprietor in New York doing business as Anix ("Anix," "we," "us"). They cover your use of the Anix API and website (the "service"). By creating an API key or using the service, you agree to them. If you use the service for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're authorized to.

1. Using the service

  • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
  • Keep your API keys secret. You're responsible for all use of your keys. Tell us right away if a key leaks so we can revoke it.
  • We may set rate limits. Requests over a limit receive a 429 response instead of waiting in a queue.

2. Acceptable use

You won't use the service to break any law; infringe anyone's rights; create or share content that sexually exploits minors; help develop weapons capable of mass casualties; create or spread malware or attack systems; harass people; or overload, probe or disrupt the service.

The models we serve are made by third parties and come with their own licenses and use policies, and you agree to follow them. For Laguna models, that means the OpenMDW-1.1 license and Poolside's Acceptable Use Policy.

You may build the service into your own products. Reselling raw access to the API as a standalone service needs our written agreement.

We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules, with notice where practical.

3. Your content

  • You own the inputs you send and, to the extent the law allows, the outputs you receive. You give us permission to process your inputs only as needed to produce outputs for you.
  • We don't keep your inputs or outputs after a request finishes, and we never use them to train or improve models. See our data policy.
  • You're responsible for your inputs and for how you use outputs. Models can produce wrong, incomplete or harmful output, so review it before relying on it.

4. Fees and payment

  • Prices are listed on our website, or in a written order for dedicated endpoints.
  • We bill through prepaid credits or monthly invoices, processed by Stripe. Invoices are due within 15 days.
  • Prices don't include taxes. You pay any taxes that apply, other than taxes on our income.
  • We'll give you at least 14 days' notice before a price increase.
  • Fees are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise or we billed you in error.
  • We may suspend access for invoices more than 15 days overdue, after giving notice.

5. Availability and changes

  • We work to keep the service available but don't guarantee uptime unless a signed order says so.
  • We may update the service. Before we retire a model you've used in the last 30 days, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
  • We may suspend the service immediately to deal with a security threat or abuse.

6. Disclaimers

7. Limitation of liability

8. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify Anix against third-party claims arising from your inputs, your use of outputs, or your breach of these terms.

9. Ending this agreement

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you materially breach them. Sections 3, 4 (for fees owed), 6, 7, 8 and 10 survive.

10. Governing law

New York law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll email customers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
